On The Road
3/8 – VBSR
Met with the policy committee at Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility to talk about health care.

3/7 – Lamoille County
Spent the afternoon with the Lamoille County Democrats at their gubernatorial forum. Despite the beautiful weather, a good crowd turned out to talk about health care, education, and economic development.

3/6 – Franklin County
Great night with the Franklin County Democrats – good food, good speeches, and even dancing!

3/2 – Town Meeting
It was great to see so many folks out at the polls and at Town Meetings. Thanks to everyone who collected Ballot Petition Signatures for me!

3/1 – Middlebury
Met with a great group of Middlebury College Democrats. We talked about a number of different issues, and also about how important it is to get involved in campaigns and issues. Looking forward to seeing these folks again at the Middlebury Gubernatorial Forum in April.

2/27 – Newport
Spent the afternoon in Newport, at a forum sponsored by the Orleans County Progressive Caucus. It was great to talk with folks from the Northeast Kingdom about many issues that they were interested in – health care, Vermont Yankee, our energy future, rural economic development, and agriculture – to name a few.

2/24 – Montpelier
Won the “speed-dating” challenge at the Vermont League of Cities and Towns luncheon – and I got this cool hat for a prize!

2/18 – Grocers Forum
Had lunch with the VT Grocers and Retailers, then participated in the gubernatorial forum.

2/17- UVM
Did an interview about health policy with a UVM student, then met with the College Democrats.

2/13 – NOFA-VT
Packed house at the NOFA-VT Winter Conference to hear US Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack speak. Afterwards, it was energizing to talk with all of the farmers during the lunch hour. Vermont has so many young people who want to farm, and there are many opportunities for the state to make sure they can, and create lots of jobs in the process.

I'm For Doug
Kim Keiser, former VT State Child Care Administrator
“There is no better friend to the children of Vermont than Doug Racine. Doug has been a staunch supporter of quality child care and after school programs, knowing that these services have a strong positive impact on the children and families served and on the economy. Doug will make sure that our children have the support they need to get off to a good start in life. Our state and our children need Doug Racine at the helm.”
